- WATER BAGS, ZIP-TOP, 1 GALLON These bags are durable 3 layers of poly and foil. They hold a full gallon of water... or anything else (dry food stocks, ammo, etc). I've even BOILED water in one of these (don't put it directly in the flame, just hang it about a foot above some coals). I offer these in two styles. I receive them plain, with no brass grommets or paracord carry lanyard. I offer them both plain and with the additional parts because I realized that these are GREAT for food and other storage. The tops on these can be sealed with a standard sealer, and still have the zipper seal underneath so even once you open them, you can reseal. They are convenient size for 'preppers', so I decided to offer price breaks on plain bags in quantities of 3 and 10 bags. This saves me from having to crimp on the brass grommets and add the para cord. PS - They have flat bottoms so they stand upright, even when full of water (as shown in the picture)! Now there's a slightly larger version. It holds a good bit more fluid, and has a flat bottom so you can set it down like a mini candle if needed. YES... a survival sponge. These pack VERY small and expand when wet. they are used to collect water. In particular, they are used to collect morning dew or rain water. There are many places, particularly in higher terrain where there simply isn't much in the way of ground water in the form of streams, ponds, swamps, etc. However, there's ample dew in the early morning hours. Grab two of these sponges, and begin harvesting this water by swiping them across grass and leaves. Squeeze them out into your water container or directly into your mouth. Dew doesn't need purification... it's typically 100% pure water, and ready to drink. Also use when you get a light rain that isn't enough to gather in a tarp or other collection vessel.
